Sir kindly peruse the note of RO as well as AEE (PBIP). The industry has deposited Rs. 84000/- vide no. 314347515 dated 10.01.2024 and Rs. 21000/- vide no. 255863658 dated 16.05.2024 under Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.06.2025. If approved, action as proposed by AEE(PBIP) regarding issuance of varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for addition of one induction furnace of capacity 30 TPH to manufacture Steel Ingots/Billets/Rods/TMT Bars/Wire Rod/Flats/Structural Steels @ 145000 PA by using Alloys and Non Alloys Steel Scrap @ 150000 TPA as raw material, upto 30.06.2025 subject to the conditions as mentioned in his note with amount of BG to be decided by Competent Authority in condition no. 6 as under be taken, please:
6. The industry shall deposit a bank guarantee (amount to be decided by the competent authority) to the Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib within 15 days (from the date of issuance of this consent) as an assurance to submit the feasibility report for providing Air Pollution Control Device of appropriate design for control of secondary emissions generated from the furnace unit within next 45 days & install the same by 31.12.2024.
