The matter was discussed and it is submitted that the land area is about 102 kanal 5.56 marla (12.784 acres as per application) and as per the site plan and application submitted by the project proponent, the total built up area is 65556.77 sqm which is more than 1.5 lakh sqm. Although, the Board vide letter no. 10949 dated 09.05.2023 sent its representation regarding the area development projects in which Board shown its view that the built up area of individual plot in the project is less than 20,000 Sqm and the total built-up area of that project is also less than 1,50,000 Sqm then, the project should not covered under EIA notification dated 14/9/2006. However, following condition may be imposed while granting the NOC to the project proponent
"The project proponent shall not start any construction activity at site till it obtains either Environment clearance under EIA, 2006 or exemption to obtain the same from the Competent Authority."
