File Note: The industry is a small scale green category unit and has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents. The industry has deposited consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 56.68 Lacs as on 30/04/2024 as per CA Certificate dated 18/05/2024, which is adequate upto 31/12/2031 under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting penalty charges and NOC Regularization fee. The industry was visited by the undersigned on 21.05.2024 and it was observed as under: 1. The industry was in operation. 2. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of Auto Parts @ 500 Numbers/day by using raw material as MS Flat @ 1 T/day. 3. The manufacturing process of the industry is as MS Flat - Press work - Shot blast – Straitening – Turning - Teeth cutter – Drilling - Zinc plating (from outsource) – Ready – Packing – Dispatch. 4. The has installed Lathe machines, Hobbing machines, Straightening machines, 3 no. CNC machines, Drill Machines, Grinders and Threading machines as non-polluting machinery. 5. The industry has installed one shot blast machine with inhouse bag filter as APCD and stack of adequate height. 6. The industry has provided septic tank for treatment of domestic effluent and same is discharged into sewer. 7. There is no generation of trade effluent. 8. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 125 KVA, equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height. 9. It has submitted building plans approved by Er. Adarsh Vir Gupta, Competent person under Factories Act, 1948. The site of the industry falls in the Industrial focal point as per Master Plan of Ludhiana. In the subject cited case, the industry has mentioned ground water extraction @ 0.5 KLD. Considering 25 working days per month, ground water extraction will be 12.5 KL/month, which is less than 300 KL/month. It is therefore recommended that 'Consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 31/12/2031 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
