It is intimated that the project proponent has proposed to establish a small scale green category garment unit. The project proponent has applied for obtaining fresh Consent to Establish (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of garments (ladies kurti sets & cold sets) @ 100 numbers/day with discharge of only domestic effluent @ 2.5 KLD into sewer. The industry has deposited Rs. 8400/- vide R. No. 001225124876 dated 20.01.2024 as NOC fee, which is adequate for one year.
• The project proponent has proposed to set up a garment unit for manufacturing of garments (ladies kurti sets & cold sets) @ 100 numbers/day with discharge of only domestic effluent @ 2.5 KLD into sewer.
• The proposed cost of the project as per the project report is of about 482.10 Lacs.
• The project proponent has proposed to install one DG set of capacity 62.5 KVA.
• The industry had submitted the copy of letter issued by ATP, Ludhiana vide memo no. 15/ATP/A/D dated 05.04.2024 stating that the site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana.
The proposed site was visited by the AEE of this office on 20.05.2024 and observed that:-
1. The proposed site is situated at Veer Nagar, Near Banda Bahadur Nagar, Bahadur Ke Road, Ludhiana.
2. The proposed site is a vacant plot and excavation work has been started at site.
The proposed site is suitable for the establishment of green category hosiery unit as it is situated in industrial zone as per the notified Master Plan Ludhiana.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to establish (NOC) under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of garments (ladies kurti sets & cold sets) @ 100 numbers/day with discharge of only domestic effluent @ 2.5 KLD into sewer may be granted to the industry for the period of one year with the suitable conditions and special condition that the industry shall not commission its process without obtaining consents to operate of the Board.
