Earlier CTO was refused as it failed to deposit EC of Rs 1.5 lacs imposed. Now the industry has applied for CTO/restoration and has deposited Rs. 15000/- as EC (out of total Rs 1.5 lacs) and has requested in writing that it will pay the rest of the environmental compensation in installments once it comes in operation. In view of above it is proposed that consent under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to industry for 6 months with suitable conditions and electric connection of the industry may be restored temporarily for six months and the industry be directed to pay remaining amount of Environmental compensation in equal monthly installments as soon as it resumes operation.
