It is intimated that the industry has earlier obtained consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. 18577327 dated 05.07.2022, which was valid upto 31.03.2024 on the name and style of M/s Hero Cycles Ltd (Auto Rim Division), Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana. Now, there has been a change in the business interest of the industry and as per their order NCLT and they have changed its name to M/s Hero Motors Limited, Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana .
The industry has requested that there is only change in name and business interest and pollution load has remained same.
The industry has also requested that it may be granted renewal of consent under the Air Act,1981 and same may be transferred to its new name i.e. M/s Hero Motors Limited, Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
In view of the above, the request of the industry may be considered and it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed to the industry upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. The competency to decide the application lies with the Hon’ble Chairman of the Board. |
