The industry is a small scale orange category plastic reprocessing unit and was earlier granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 dated 24.11.2023 and under Air Act, 1981 dated 21.12.2023 for the Recycled Plastic Granules @ 5 T/day & Washing & Cutting of Empty Can @ 3000 Numbers/Day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 9.0 KLD reused back in to the process after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.2 KLD onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank, which were expired on 23.05.2024 & 20.06.2024………………………….
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the Recycled Plastic Granules @ 10 T/day & Washing & Cutting of Empty Can @ 3000 Numbers/Day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 9.0 KLD reused back in to the process after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.2 KLD onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank……………………………...
The industry had already deposited fee, which are adequate upto 31.03.2031……………………...
The industry has submitted Classification of the area certificate from ATP, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana letter no. 2947/ATP/B/D dated 13.10.2022, which stating that the site falls in industrial zone as per Approved Master Plan Ludhiana……………………………
The industry was visited by AEE of RO on 15.05.2024 and observed that:-
1. The industry is engaged in the recycling of plastic drums and manufacturing of plastic dana. During visit industry was in operation.
2. The manufacturing process of the industry is washing, Crushing, Mixing, Melting, Extruding, Final product, Dispatch.
3. The industry has installed the ETP for the treatment of its effluent generated from the washing process. The ETP is consisting of collection tank chemical dosing flash mixture tube settler filters treated water storage tank reuses. The industry has made arrangement to re-use back treated effluent in the washing section.
4. The industry has not installed any DG set.
5. The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
6. The industry has obtained pass book and authorization under the HWM, rules which is valid upto 11.04.2029.
As proposed by Regional Office, if approved that varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for the period upto 30.06.2029 with special condition that the industry shall not manufacture any carry bags or banned Single Use Plastic.
