Sir, in compliance of personal hearing industry has now submitted area classification certificate vide no. 1202/DTP(L)/-M2A dated 20.05.2024 Ludhiana (2007-2031) mentioning that the site of the industry falls in Industrial Land Use Zone as per Master Plan Ludhiana and dyeing is allowed in this zone.
The industry has also obtained adequate shares i.e. 1554 KLD to manage the quantum of discharge i.e. 900 KLD as per the audit carried out by GNE but the industry has applied for the discharge of 741 KLD only, so the CTO can be granted to the industry after restricting the operation of its printing process/ printing machinery and winch machines.
In view of above, it is recommended that:-
1. Consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 for dyeing of cloth @ 5200 Kgs/day, finishing of cloth @ 14400 Kgs/day with trade effluent @ 720.0 KLD and domestic effluent @ 9.0 KLD into CETP 50 MLD may be granted to the industry for the period of 01 year with usual conditions.
2. Industry may be directed to not to operate its printing machinery as well as winch machines.
3. Directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be issued to the PSPCL authority to restore electricity connection of the industry for period of one year.
