Sir, the industry is small scale red category unit and was granted consent to establish (NOC) under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 upto 19/03/2025 for installation of 01 no. Induction Furnace of capacity 1 T/heat, 01 no. cupola furnace, 02 no. D.G sets (250 KVA & 50 KVA). Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for installation of Induction Furnace of capacity 1 T/heat and one cupola furnace.
The application of the industry has been perused and it has been observed as under:-
1. The industry has not submitted the analysis report of air emissions of induction furnace as well as cupola furnace.
2. The industry has not submitted the compliance of SOPs prescribed for such type of units by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology.
3. The industry has not submitted the detail of re-circulation system of cooling water.
4. The industry has submitted provisional Completion certificate of APCD with Induction furnace from PSCST and failed to submit final certificate of APCD from PSCST.
5. The industry has not submitted verified Compliance Report of conditions of NOC granted to it.
6. The industry has not applied for authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to industry with hearing at ZO level, please.
