Point-wise reply to the observations is as under:
1. The industry has not submitted share DEMAT certificate for 100 shares.
2. The industry has installed 03 soft flow dyeing machines, 02 machines of 300 Kg and 01 machine of 450 Kg. These 03 machines have total 07 chambers/mouths and as per the GNE calculations, total effluent generation from the 07 chambers of soft flow will be 140 KLD. As per SoP prescribed by the Board for dyeing industries, discharge from 300 kg soft flow machine is 48 KLD (Liquor ratio 1:8, No. of Baths 04, No. of Lots 05) and from 450 kg soft flow machine is 72 KLD (Liquor ratio 1:8, No. of Baths 04, No. of Lots 05). Thus as per Board’s prescribed SoP, effluent generation from these 03 machines will be 168 KLD.
3. The industry is located backside to 225 MLD STP, Jamalpur near dump site and there is no MC sewer in this area.
4. The industry is not maintaining any record of emf.
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that the application of the industry for obtaining ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 for dyeing of cloth @ 1000 Kgs/day along discharge of trade effluent & domestic effluent @ 100 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD may be refused.
