File Note: Sir, it is intimated that the industry is large scale orange category unit and was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and under Air Act, 1981 both upto 31/03/2024. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 along with requisite documents. RO reported that the industry has submitted details of increase in fixed alongwith the detail of machinery installed after the last granted consent and has submitted the NOC regularization as well as requisite consent fee on account of increase in assets for the last 4 years. The production capacity raw material and other aspects remains the same as the last the application and as per the last consent grant by the Board. Further, there is no increase in pollution load. Accordingly, the site of the project was visited by RO on 28.05.2024 and it was reported that :- 1. The industry was in operation and engaged in manufacturing of tractor parts. 2. The industry has installed 03 normalizing furnaces & 03 forging furnaces. 3. The 03 normalizing furnaces & 01 forging furnaces is attached with common stack. The industry has now replaced the oil fired furnace with the induction billet heaters. The remaining 02 forging furnaces are provided with separate common stack. 4. The industry has installed 02 shot blasting which are provided with inbuilt bag house as APCD and stack of adequate height. 5. The industry has installed CNCs, VMCs and other allied machinery such as drilling machines, lathe machine, bendsaw machines, laser marking machines etc in the rest of its premises. 6. The industry has installed 02 DG sets of capacities one of 480 KVA & one of 400 KVA which are provided with acoustic enclosure. 7. The industry has already submitted DTP certificate vide no. 2469 dated 03.06.2010 mentioning that the site of the industry falls in medium and heavy industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-2021). 8. No trade effluent is generated from the industry and only the domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2028 with appropriate conditions, please.
