Earlier the industry was granted Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. O15LDH4CTOW2715323 dated 08.06.2015, which is valid upto 07.12.2015 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. O15LDH4CTOA2714732 dated 08.06.2015, which is valid upto 07.12.2015 with special conditions mentioned therein for operation of a cupola furnace of capacity 03 TPH…………………….
Thereafter, the industry was given personal hearing before the SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 13.02.2024, wherein it was decide as under:
1. The industry shall provide the paint booth room with APCD, within 15 days.
2. The industry shall apply for Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 within, 15 days.
3. Environmental Engineer, RO-4, Ludhiana shall visit the industry the verify to the contentions of the industry and submit the recommendations, within 15 days. …………………….
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 through online system for Assembling and paint work of Agriculture Machinery @ 20 numbers/day…………………….
The industry has deposited consent fee which is adequate upto 30.09.2025 as verified by the Regional Office…………………….
The site of the industry was the visited by the officer of the Board on 24-05-2024 & it was observed as under:
1. The industry is located in Village Pohir, Jagera - Ahmedgarh Road, Distt Ludhiana.
2. The industry has dismantled its cupola furnace. Now, the industry is only engaged in paint process of agriculture equipment.
3. The industry has provided paint booth with water curtain as APCD for paint process.
4. The industry has installed 2 D.G. Sets of capacity 20 KVA and 40 KVA equipped with canopy and having adequate stack height.
5. Domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. No trade effluent is being generated.
6. The industry has submitted location plan and approved building plan from competent person of director of factories.
7. The industry has submitted DTP letter vide no. 2221 DTP (L) M2A dated 20.07.2012 mentioning that the site falls in LPA Ahmedgarh, Master Plan of the same is yet to be prepared.
Regional Office reported that the industry is now complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
As proposed by Regional Office, may if approved, varied consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 be granted upto 30.09.2025 with suitable conditions, please.
