The report /recommendations of Regional Office be perused. Earlier the Mining Officer, Pathankot vide his office letter no. 466 dated 22.04.2022 informed this office that since the auctioned mining sites have been suspended by the Govt. of Punjab, so the stone crusher do not have legal source of raw material. Further, an FIR has also been lodged against the stone crusher for indulging in illegal mining. The copy of the FIR has been received in this office from SHO, Talwara vide letter dated 04.05.2022 against the stone crusher. Thereafter, the consents to operate were revoked/cancelled and Directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were issued for disconnect the supply of electricity available in the premises The electric connection was disconnected vide TDCO 100019372308 Dated 28.09.2022. Thereafter, the stone crusher made the compliance and was granted CTOs upto 14.06.2023 and extended upto 11.11.2023 and electric connection was restored temporarily 14.06.2023 and then extended upto 11.11.2023. After 11.11.2023 the industry was not complying with the Code of practice and the electric connection was got disconnected by RO vide TDCO No., 3007509144 dated 19.02.2024. The industry was latest visited on 25.04.2024 and as per report the Stone crusher is complying with the Code of practice.
The Competency to decide the case is with Regional office and it has principally approved the consent to operate.
May if approved the electric connection of the stone crusher may be restored further six months period with suitable terms and conditions and with special condition that the stone crusher shall comply with the code of practice prescribed for stone crushers.
