• It is intimated that the restaurant is small scale green category unit.
• The restaurant has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 under green category for manufacturing and sale of food items.
• The restaurant has deposited Rs. 41600/- vide UTR No. N081242946197283 dated 21.03.2024 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 48500/- vide UTR No. N081242946197053 dated 21.03.2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 against the CA certificate of Rs. 1.96 crore, which are adequate upto 31.12.2027.
• The restaurant has submitted approved building plan issued by Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar to the project proponent, copy of the feasibility report STP of capacity 5 KLD installed at site. As per report STP is consisting of Screen Chamber Grit Channel Oil & Grease Trap Chemical Dosing Oxidation Tube Settler Clear water sump Pressure Sand Filter Pressure Activated Carbon Filter Sludge drying bed, copy of the building lease deed, manufacturing process and electricity bill etc. As per application of the restaurant, the generation of effluent @ 3.4 KLD as such the project proponent has installed adequate capacity to tackle the STP at site..
• As per application of the project proponent the date of commissioning of the restaurant was July/2023.
• The restaurant was visited by AEEs of this office on 29.05.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The restaurant was in operation during the time of visit.
2. The restaurant is engaged in preparing and serving of food items.
3. The restaurant has install 39 no. of chairs and 2 nos. of sofa.
4. The restaurant has installed ETP plant for the treatment of kitchen waste and domestic waste. After the treatment, treated wastewater goes into MC sewer.
5. The restaurant has provided plantation area as per karnal technology measuring appox.4 kanal for reuse of treated effluent after STP.
6. The restaurant has installed water meter at final outlet of STP and a separate energy meter for STP. Record for operation of STP is being maintained by the restaurant.
7. The restaurant has installed 1 no. D.G set with canopy and attached to stack of adequate height.
8. The restaurant is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981.
In view of above it is recommended that,
1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the restaurant upto 31.12.2027 with usual conditions and with special condition that:
a) The project proponent shall submit effluent analysis report of the STP to the Board within one month.
b) The project proponent shall dispose off their Solid waste to Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar after making proper agreement.
c) The project proponent shall obtain prior NOC/permission from the other concerned Department if required if any.
2. Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2027.
