It is submitted that the industry made a submission mentioning that they are not discarding any waste cutting oil, rather they have to top up the same.
It is pertinent to mention here that the waste cutting oil is categorized that hazardous waste category 5.3.
During the visit to the industry on 04.06.2024 no discarded waste oil found stored. Further the industry was guided to obtain authorization under HWM Rules, 2016 for category 5.3 as well as for other applicable categories i.e. 5.1 and 5.2.
In view of the above it is recommended that the industry may be granted consents as already recommended with suitable conditions and with special conditions that the industry shall obtain authorization under HWM Rules, 2016 for all applicable categories as well as for spent cutting oil also. |
