It is submitted that the industry has applied obtaining fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS with required documents for production of C.I. CASTING @ 360 MT/Year.
Detail of the case are as under: -
1. The unit has submitted latest CA Certificate having total value of fixed assets Rs. 1.37 Crore as on 17.07.2023. Accordingly, it has deposited Rs. 58800/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124644896 dated 03.05.2024, Rs. 16800/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124645275 dated 03.05.2024 as penalty under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 8400/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124645662 dated 03.05.2024 as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 58800/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124644656 dated 03.05.2024 as consent fee under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 16800/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124645159 dated 03.05.2024 and Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. KKBKH24124645815 dated 03.05.2024 as application form fee, which it is adequate upto 30.05.2033 under both Acts.
2. The unit has submitted a completion certificate issued by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh vide no. 08 dt 12/04/2024 that the cupola furnace having melting capacity less than 3T/hr has installed as per the technology evolved by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh.
3. The unit has been established and is in operation at Industrial Focal Point (new), Mehta Road, Amritsar. The industry has submitted documents regarding transfer of Industrial Focal Point, Plot No. B-02 issued by Estate officer, PSIEC vide no. 753 dt 23/04/2013 in the favor of Sh. Ashok Kumar Arora share holder of M/s Sunshine Foundry.
4. The unit has submitted registered deed, GST certificate and site plan etc.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 05.06.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was not in operation at the time of visit.
2. The industry has installed one no. cupola furnace which was equipped with wet cap as APCD. Wet cap was connected with water recirculation pipeline with water circulation tank and same was found operative at the time of visit.
It is further submitted that the unit falls in orange category in Small Scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer of the Board.
In view of the above, may if approved, the fresh consent to operate under the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the unit upto 30.09.2029 for production of C.I. CASTING @ 360 MT/Year with usual terms and conditions. |
