1. As mentioned in the reply of clarification, industry has not submitted the details of heating kettles.
Clarification:- The Heating Vessel is of 3tone capacity vessel which is used in processing grease. The vessel is connected with thermic fluid storage tank and hot oil pipelines that in turn are inter connected with the thermostat and cooking vessel for all cooking needs to perform consistently at high temperatures with low pressure. The temperature which we require for cooking of grease soap is nominal around 70-90degree.
It is further intimated that the industry was issued show cause notice for violation of provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana on 03.06.2024, which was attended by Sh. Saravjit Singh, Prop. of the industry in which following decisions were taken (copy attached) :-
1. The industry shall close soakage pit immediately and develop adequate plantation area for discharge of treated domestic effluent.
Clarification:- Sir, On last hearing it was informed that the soakage is permanently closed and adequate plantation area for discharge of treated domestic effluent is developed with septic tanks.
2. The industry shall submit within 02 days, the Bank Guarantee of Rs. 1.00 lac, as already imposed during hearing held on 15.05.2024.
Clarification:- Sir, For bank guarantee. It was informed us on 27/05/2024 and on 03/06/2024 hearing we have requested some time for 7-10days. It will be submitted as asap.
2. In case, the industry fails to make the compliance, action u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 shall be recommended to CEE Ludhiana.
Clarification:- Sir, All the compliance for air and water are done.
4. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall verify submission made by industry and submit further recommendations, accordingly.
Clarification:- Sir, The Concerned Officer can any time verify the facts made by the industry.
In light of above, you are requested to submit the following details within 2 days.:-
1. Details of heating details:- Done
2. Point-wise compliance of the decisions of personal hearing as mentioned above – Replied. |
