It is submitted that in reply to the observations of ZO, the industry has submitted that as on date the average wastewater generation is about 25 KLD to 30 KLD and the treated wastewater is being utilized onto land for plantation in an area of about 2 acres. The industry has planted poplar trees in this land. Further, the soil quality of this land is sandy and the treated wastewater is consumed immediately by the soil and there is no stagnation of waste water in the plantation. The industry at present has storage capacity of 10 KL of treated wastewater and has assured to increase the same upto 300 KL within 6 months.
In view of the above, the reply of the industry seems appropriate, therefore, submitted for action already recommended please alongwith additional special condition that the industry shall provide storage of treated wastewater @300 KL within 6 months.
