1. It is intimated that the industry is a medium scale Orange category unit.
2. Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 Vide no. CTOW/Fresh/JAL/2019/10911716 dated 01/10/2019 and CTOA/Fresh/JAL/2019/10911607 dated 01/10/2019 valid upto 30.09.2021 under Green category for the production of Auto Parts (Speedo Meter Gears) @20000 nos/day by using Nylon Chips Dana (virgin) @280Kgs/day Steel Rod @200Kgs/day as a raw material with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
3. The industry has now applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS under medium scale orange category.
4. The industry deposited Rs. 79200/- vide UTR no. 000146750025 dated 10.04.2024, Rs. 14400/- as NOC fee vide UTR no. 000145376090 dated 06.03.2024, Rs. 45600/- vide UTR no. SBIN522307991096 dated 03.11.2022, Rs. 32400/- vide UTR no. SBIN522307996323 dated 03.11.2022, Rs. 10800/- vide UTR no. SBIN122307012903, Rs. 62400/- vide Receipt no. 658936346 dated 26.08.2022 and Rs. 3600 vide NEFT no. 000145381392/PUNB0291800 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs.79200/- vide UTR no. 000146746215 dated 10.04.2024, Rs. 54000/- vide receipt no. 544645544 dated 26.08.2022 & Rs.21600/- vide receipt no. 712656060 dated 02.08.2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Adequate upto 30.09.2029.
5. The industry has submitted a letter dated 17.05.2024 from revenue authority (Naib Tehsildar, Goraya) in which it is mentioned that the existing industry distance is more than 500 meters from phirni of village Kutbewal and there is no population within the radius of 500 meter from existing industry.
6. The industry has also submitted a letter from Municipal Council Goraya vide no. 559 dated 20.05.2024 in which it is mentioned that master plan of Goraya has not been yet notified.
7. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 28.05.2024 and it was observed that:-
• The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of Auto Parts (Speedo Meter Gears).
• There is no residential house/school falls within the radius of 100 meter from the subject cited industry. Only few industries falls within the radius of 100 meter.
• The industry has installed one. DG set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy.
• The industry has installed 10 nos. injection molding machines, VMCs, CNCs and other general machinery and one modern saw mill with dust bag as APCD.
• There is no source of trade effluent generation only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. Entire cooling water is being re-circulated.
Recommendations: - Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2029 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board and special condition that the industry will be bound to comply with the provisions of Master Plan Goraya as and when it is notified.
