Subject: - Proceedings of the personal hearing given to M/s Hotel The Grand Mirage, Village Amargarh, Bathinda-Goniana Road, Tehsil & District Bathinda before refusal of consents to operate under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 by the Senior Environmental Engineer on 29.04.2024....
During hearing it has been decided that the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Bathinda shall visit the site of hotel-cum-banquet hall, within 07 days, verify the submission made by the prop. of hotel-cum-banquet hall and process the consent applications applied by it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981, on merits
To check the compliance the marriage palace was visited on 11.6.2024 and it was observed as under:
1. No Marriage function was taking place during the visit.
2. The marriage palace has provided a hood (Turbo ventilator) and stack arrangement with the exhaust system in the kitchen section.
3. The PP has installed STP @60 KLD based on MBBR technology to treat the effluent generated from the kitchen and toilet section. In the kitchen section additional O & G Traps have been provided for primary treatment before treatment into STP.
4. During visit the STP was in operation and the treated effluent from the STP was being disposed onto land for gardening. The water meter reading during visit at outlet of STP was 30499 KLD. During visit dried biomass was observed outside the tanks and on floor of the STP components.
5. The palace has provided 1 compost pits for in-house management of the solid waste which was improper.
6. A lot of re-cyclable waste was found segregated and stored in open along the pit. The rep of the project was guided regarding proper management of solid waste.
7. The palace has provided three D.G. sets of capacity @250 kV, @250 kVA & @160kVA with canopy and stack of adequate height.
Keeping in view of above it is recommended that the Project may be granted CTO under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for 6 months with special condition that the PP shall make adequate solid waste management arrangements within 1 month. |
