Discussed, the industry has installed furnace of capacity 6 TPH, with Bag filters as APCD as per design of PSCST. In view of above may if approved:
1. The restoration of electric connection may be further extended temporary for the period of six months i.e upto 31.12.2024.
2. The fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of Steel Ingots @ 72 MTD may be granted for the period of six months i.e upto 31.12.2024. alongwith suitable conditions and additional conditions as proposed by Regional Office as under:
a) The industry shall operate & maintain its air pollution control device (APCD), regularly and efficiently, so as to achieve the stack emission standards, consistently as prescribed by the Board/ MoEF&CC as amended from time to time.
b) The industry shall ensure that no black smoke be emitted from the stack of the industry at any time.
c) The industry shall comply with the guidelines/SOPs provided by PSCST, Chandigarh for the effective operation of APCD.
d) The industry shall not dispose off its Hazardous waste to any unauthorized vendor.
e) The industry shall not use any scrap containing Hazardous waste like shockers containing waste oil.
f) The industry shall apply for obtaining authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
g) The industry shall plant trees wherever space is available inside and outside the unit.
h) The industry shall not undertake expansion without obtaining approval from the Board.
i) The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.
j) The industry shall submit the proposal regarding control of Secondary Emissions generated from the process within one month after consultation with the PSCST, Chandigarh. k) The industry shall use good quality raw material free from dust and oil.
l) The industry shall replace its existing bag filters with filters of specifications.
