The Report / recommendations by RO be perused.
Earlier the industry has not made any arrangements for disposal of effluent generated from the auto spray section. The industry has provided stack of in-adequate height with the auto spray section. The industry could not produce CLU or document regarding land use classification during the visit. The industry was in operation without obtaining consents of the Board under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
As such, the industry was given personal hearing before CEE on 28.3.2024, no one from the industry attended the hearing. The matter was considered by Competent Authority and directions were confirmed for closure & disconnection of the electricity supply. The PSPCL authorities has been disconnect the electricity supply of the unit vide TDCO no. 100025369464 dated 17.05.2024.
Now, The industry has submitted land use classification letter issued by ATP, MC, Jalandhar vide no. STP/978 dated 29.05.2024 mentioning that the site of the industry falls in special industrial zone as per Master Plan, Jalandhar. The industry has installed electric evaporators for evaporation of auto spray effluent. The industry has now provided stack of adequate height with the auto spray section. The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981.
May if approved,
1) Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be for six months with suitable conditions.
2) Directions be issued to PSPCL authorities for temporary restoration of electricity connection for 06-months. Competency :-
