Sir, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of 'Consent to Establish' (NOC) with hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 03.06.2024, wherein it was decided as under:- 1. The industry shall provide adequate arrangements to recirculate the entire cooling water. 2. The industry shall not discharge any trade effluent and discharge only domestic effluent into sewer. 3. The industry shall provide adequate APCD to control the air emissions of grinding section. 4. The industry shall submit the revised building plan after completion of additional building. 5. The industry shall deposit the sample analysis fee to Regional Office for air emission sampling. 6. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall verify submissions made by the industry and process consent applications on merits.
In order to verify the compliance to the decisions of hearing, the industry was visited by RO on 13.06.2024 and it was reported that :- 1. The industry has provided adequate arrangements to recirculate the entire cooling water. 2. The industry is not discharging any trade effluent and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. 3. The industry has provided APCD to control the air emissions of grinding section. 4. The industry has been advised to submit shall submit the revised building plan after completion of additional building. 5. The industry has deposited the sample analysis fee to Regional Office for air emission sampling. 6. Air emission samples were collected during the visit and found to be within the prescribed limits of the Board.
RO recommended that CTE may be granted as earlier proposed.
In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the project proponent for one year with appropriate conditions, please. (Category - Red, small) (Competency - SEE)
