File Note: Kindly peruse the agenda note of AEE. As discussed with AEE, the date of visit was inadvertently mentioned as 10/08/2024 instead of 10/06/2024 in the agenda note. In view of the facts mentioned in the agenda note of AEE, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Round/Bars/ Flats/Squares @ 330 MTD by using as Billet/ Ingot @ 350 MTD by using as PNG as fuel, may be granted to the industry upto 31/03/2029 with usual conditions and following special conditions: 1. The industry shall be liable to comply with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. 2. The industry shall not consume any fuel except PNG without prior/permission of the Board. 3. The industry shall stabilize its entire vehicle movement to control dust emission. 4. The industry shall plant trees wherever space is available inside and outside the unit. 5. The industry shall comply with the siting guidelines of the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA), if need be for abstraction of Ground Water. 6. The unit shall not engage in any water polluting process i.e. electroplating / pickling / galvanizing etc. 7. The industry shall provide thick plantation of spreading crown varieties of evergreen trees all along the boundary wall. 8. The project proponent shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies. 9. The project proponent shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. 10. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- Thermocal disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. 11. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. 12. The project proponent shall install noise limiter on potential pollution devises including retrofitting the existing devices.
