The report of the Regional Office has been examined and observed as under:
1. The industry has not submitted any details from where the wastewater is to be generated, capacity/technology of ETP to be installed alongwith its components/capacity.
Reply: The unit shall be using water for the processing and washing of the proposed product, washing of processing utensils, floor cleaning and for the use of its workforce for domestic requirements. Consequently, there will be generation of waste water from process which shall be treated and reused for the floor washing, pre- washing of Vegetables and irrigation of plants proposed for plantation within unit premises. The industry has now submitted feasibility report of ETP consist of Raw Influnet- BAR Screen-Oil and Grease Traps-Collection/ Equalization Tank-Flash/ Chemical Mixing Tank-Primary Tube Settler-Aeration Tank / Bio Reactor-Secondary Tube Settler-Polishing/ Disinfaction Tank-Multi-Grade Sand Filter-Activated Carbon Filter-Final Treated Water. Detailed feasibility report is enclosed herewith.
2. The industry has not given the details of the plantation area to be developed for disposal of treated wastewater as well as its adequacy.
Reply: The condition may be imposed that the industry will proposed plantation area as per Karnal Technology in an area of around 0.5 acre for handling the discharge of treated effluent before commissioning of its unit.
3. The industry has not given the details of the APCD to be installed with its boiler furnace.
Reply: The industry has proposed to install Wood / Bricket Fired Boiler of Capacity 1.5 TPH has equipped with the Cyclone Separator and Wet Scrubber as APCD along with adequate stack height. Detailed feasibility report is enclosed herewith.
