The industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2021/17078487 dated 29.12.2021 valid upto 30.06.2023 for Dyeing of all kind of Fabrics @ 1700 Kg/day and dyeing of garments @500 No./day alongwith discharge of trade effluent @ 300 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP & domestic effluent @ 1 KLD into sewer......................................
Now, the industry applied for Varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for dyeing and finishing of polyester fabric @ 12.5 metric tonnes/day or dyeing and finishing of cotton/polyester-cotton (pc) @ 05 metric tonnes/day with discharge of trade effluent & domestic effluent @ 300 KLD into CETP 50 MLD conveyance system with operation of 01 FBC boiler of capacity 04 TPH and has provided twin cyclone separator followed by bag filter as APCD with boiler. The industry is using agro waste as fuel in the boiler and one DG set of capacity 125 KVA, which is equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height.......................................
Regional Office was requested to collect air emission samples and get it analyzed from Board's lab and submit report / recommendations accordingly.......................................
Now, Regional Office reported that the industry is maintaining the record regarding lifting of fly ash generated from its boiler section. The industry has made a registered agreement dated 28.02.2024 with M/s Guru Traders, Shimlapuri, Ludhiana regarding disposal of fuel ash at village Bhukhri Kalan. Air emission samples of the industry were collected on 11.06.2024 alongwith scientific staff from the port hole on stack after APCD (twin cyclone followed by bag filter provided as APCD) provided with boiler of capacity 04 TPH and as per analysis report, concentration of SPM is 186 mg/Nm3 which is within the prescribed limits.......................................
As proposed by Regional Office, may if approved,
Varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air Act, 1981 for dyeing and finishing of polyester fabric @ 12.5 metric tonnes/day or dyeing and finishing of cotton/polyester-cotton (pc) @ 05 metric tonnes/day may be granted to the industry for period upto 30.06.2026 with special conditions that:
a) The industry is prohibited from using any unauthorized fuel such as used Tyres, Solid Waste, Oil sludge, Acid sludge or any other banned fuel material etc.
b) The Consent to Operate is only for the authorized fuel and subsequently for its Air Pollution Control Device is designed for as per the standards set by the MoEF&CC/CPCB/PPCB. |
