The industry is medium scale red category unit. The industry has applied for ‘Consent to Establish (NOC) from Pollution Angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents for the installation of new industrial unit. The industry shall do zinc coating of nut & bolts @ 08 TPD as per the proposal submitted by the industry.
The project proponent has submitted project report with total cost of Rs. 640.00 Lacs and has deposited Rs. 21600/- vide R. No. 229215669 dated 17.04.2024 as NOC Fee on account of NOC fee which is adequate for one year.
The industry has submitted DTP letter no. 2787 DTP(L) M2A dated 17.11.2023 as per notified Master Plan of Ludhiana (2007-31) the said site falls in industrial zone.
On perusal of the project report/feasibility report submitted by the industry, the industry has submitted following proposals: -
1. The industry has proposed to provide water polluting process including acid pickling with HCL and zinc plating process.
2. The industry has also proposed to install ETP with RO to treat effluent to be generated from zinc plating process consisting of Collection tank-->pH neutrilizerFlocculationclarifierDual FiltersRO.
3. The industry has made 02 MOUs of 3 KLM and 5 KLM with M/s JBR Tech Pvt. Ltd (Unit-1) for lifting of trade effluent to be generated from acid pickling process and RO reject provided for zinc plating process.
4. The industry is proposed that Domestic effluent is being discharged after into sewer.
5. The industry has also submitted proposal to installed 02 no. D.G set of capacity 200 KVA equipped with canopy along with adequate stack height.
Now, the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 30-05-2024 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry has constructed a shed and installed some zinc plating machinery.
2. The construction work of 02 storage tanks for storage of effluent generated from the process is under process.
3. No manufacturing activity is yet started.
4. Some construction work/fabrication work was also under process.
As per DTP letter, the site is suitable to operate such type of industries.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that Consent to establish (NOC) may be granted to the industry under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 for one year subject to suitable conditions, please.
