It is intimated that the industry was granted consent to establish (NOC) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 CTE/Fresh/HSP/2022/20143486 which was valid upto 23.11.2023.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of Face Veneers @ 100000 Sq.m/day from Wood @ 1059 CFT/day and GLUE @ 3000 Kgs/day with wood based boiler of capacity 6 TPH along with cyclone separator followed by wet scrubber as APCD. The industry has submitted / uploaded Completion certificate of APCD/STP, Forest License, site plan, CA Certificate, Approval of Building Plan, manufacturing process, earlier granted NOC.
The industry has deposited Rs. 48000/- vide UTR No. 524987682 dated 17.05.2024, Rs. 60500/- vide UTR No. 555528686 dated 17.05.2024 and Rs. 26800/- vide UTR No. 89464059 dated 13.06.2024. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.09.2025.
It is intimated the industry was visited by officers of this office on 21.06.2024 and observed that the wood park has not installed industries except one subject cited industry and the industry was operation on trial basis. The industry has installed its own STP of capacity 40 KLD for the treatment of domestic effluent generated from its premises. The industry will generate domestic effluent @ 16 KLD for the industry. The bigger capacity of STP installed by the industry for future expansion. The treated effluent will be discharged onto land for adequate plantation after STP and plantation has been developed.
The industry has installed wood based boiler of capacity 6 TPH with APCD as Cyclone separator followed by wet scrubber along with adequate stack height. The industry has installed 02 no. DG Set of capacity 625 KVA and 125 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. The industry has installed glue kettle.
The industry has installed 06 No. vertical bandsaw, 4 No. Peeler Machine, 12 No. Core Dry press, 06 No. Cold Press, 01 No. Chipper, 8 No. Slicer, which is allowed vide forest license no. 2783-86 dated 15.02.2022.
In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2025 with suitable terms and conditions and with special condition that 1) The industry shall submit the effluent / stack emission sample from the Board's Lab within 02 months. 2) The industry shall obtain varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for addition/ installation of remaining machinery as per Forest License granted to the industry.
