It is intimated that the industry is a small-scale orange category unit and is engaged in heat treatment process.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for engaged in Job Work of Heat Treatment @ 10 TPD by using Nut & Bolts @ 10 TPD, LPG 500 Kgs/day, Quenching Oil @ 20 Liter/day as raw material.
The industry has deposited fee amounting to Rs. 14000/-vide R. No. N060242907411333 dated 29.02.2024 and Rs. 12600/- vide R.no. 476469810 dated 21.06.2024 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 14000/-vide R. No. N060242907417799 dated 29.02.2024 and Rs. 12600/- vide R.no. 224529061 dated 21.06.2024 under the Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 1800/- vide R.no. N060242907416844 dated 29.02.2024 as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.
The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 18.05.2024 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry was in operation during visit & is engaged in heat treatment process.
2. The industry has 06 no. rotary furnace provided with adequate stack height and hood system and has also installed 01 no. Continuous Furnace for heat treatment purpose. No visible emissions has been observed during the visit.
3. The industry has installed 01 no. DG set of 40 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
4. No trade effluent is generated by the industry and only domestic effluent is being discharged into MC sewer.
5. The industry has submitted an approved building plan approved by the Competent Person.
6. The industry has submitted land use classification certificate vide no. 5391/ATP/B/D dated 24.04.2024 issued by the ATP, Zone-B, MC, Ludhiana and as per certificate the industry is located in industrial Zone.
The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 of the Board.
In view of the above, it is recommended that fresh Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
