RO has reported that the project proponent has applied for obtaining consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for setting up of Hotel comprising 48 number rooms under orange category. The project proponent has submitted Project Report, Site Plan Location Plan, Land Document and Feasibility report of the STP etc. The industry has deposited Rs. 28,800/- vide UTR No. N120243007667916 dated 29/04/2024 consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate for one year period including Rs. 500/- as form downloading fee against the fixed assets of Rs. 2342.00 Lacs. The project proponent has submitted Approved Building Plan from Municipal Corporation, Pathankot vide dated 05/12/2022 (Copy Attached). The Hotel has submitted requisite documents along with the application which can be pursued. The Hotel comprises of 48 Number Rooms and has capacity to generate effluent @ 35.0 KLD, for which the Hotel has installed STP to treat 25 KLD domestic effluent and other ETP to treat 10 KLD the kitchen effluent and laundry effluent and has submitted feasibility report of the same. The treated effluent from the STP and ETP will be discharged into MC Sewer. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 19/06/2024 and observed as under:-
1. The Hotel is situated at Dhangu Road inside the MC Limits of Pathankot.
2. The Hotel has already started the construction of the Building of the Hotel.
3. The Hotel will install 2 no. D.G. sets of capacity 250 KVA each, which are provided with canopies.
4. The Hotel is having total covered area approx. 32000 sq.ft. The project falls in Orange category in small scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board in the light of Head Office, Patiala letter no. 19650-761 dated 30/04/2013.
RO has recommended that consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle may be granted for one year period with suitable conditions.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle may be granted for one year period with suitable conditions.
