Sir, the industry is small scale red category unit engaged in manufacturing of rubber reclaiming process. The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 dated 09/06/2023 valid upto 30/06/2027 for manufacturing of Reclaim Rubber @ 48 MT/day.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for additional product Crumb rubber @ 43 MTPD.
The application of the industry has been perused and it has been observed as under:-
1. The industry has applied for varied consent under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for additional product Crumb rubber & has made expansion without NOC of the Board.
2. The industry has not installed APCD with grinding section to control process emissions.
3. The industry has not provided re-circulation system of cooling water.
4. The industry has not submitted Compliance Report of conditions of previous granted consents in annotated form.
5. The industry has not submitted details of planattion area for discharge of domestic effluent.
6. The industry has not submitted details of modification made in exisiting machinery.
7. The industry has not submitted approved building plan from Competent Authority.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to industry with hearing at ZO level, please.
