The industry is a small scale orange category unit and has proposed to establish a unit for manufacturing of Plastic Granules @ 3000 kg/day by using Waste Plastic Polythene @ 3000 kg/day, as raw material.
Accordingly, the industry has applied for obtaining consent to establish for for manufacturing of Plastic Granules @ 3000 kg/day by using Waste Plastic Polythene @ 3000 kg/day, as raw material under orange category having code; 2060-Reprocessing of waste plastic including PVC.
The industry has submitted classification letter of area from DTP (P&R), Sangrur, for land measuring 2 bigghe 0 biswa and the site falls in the revenue state of Village Kheri jattan, tehsil Dhuri and Distt. Sangrur. The master plan of Dhuri has neither been prepared nor notified. There is no lal lakir/firni of any village, abadi and MC limit fall within the radius of 100 m.

4. Feasibility report mentioning the mechanism to be adopted to control various pollutants generated during operation of unit.
It has deposited Rs. 3,600/- deposited vide UT R. No. 349722171 dated 12.06.2024, which is adequate for one year.
To verify the facts, the site was visited by AEE of this office on 25.06.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The proposed site of the industry is located situated at KheriJattan, Dhadhogal, Tehsil Dhuri, District Sangrur.
2. The industry has submitted permission letter obtained from DTP Sangrur vide its memo no. 1743 dated 22.12.2023, intimating that the site is situated at Kheri Jattan, Tehsil Dhuri, District Sangrur bearing khasra no. 753 (4-14) of land measuring 2 bigghe 0 biswa. The site is not fall under any notified local plan area/Master Plan. Further, it has mentioned that there is no village abadi/phirni and Nagar Counsil Limit is falling within the 100 mtr radius of the site.
3. The industry has proposed to install 01 no. extruder equipped with wet scrubber as APCD to control the emissions.
4. The industry has proposed to take fresh ground water @ 0.20 KLD through submersible pump for domestic use wastewater @ 0.18 KLD will be discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
5. There is no lal lakir/village firni/15 Pucca houses/MC limit/NP limit fall within the radius of 100 m of the proposed site.
The competency- SEE
In view of above, it is therefore recommended that NOC for setting up of the unit for manufacturing of Plastic Granules @ 3000 kg/day by using Waste Plastic Polythene @ 3000 kg/day, as raw material, maybe granted to the industry with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
