Kindly peruse the agenda note of AEE. In view of the facts mentioned in the agenda note of AEE, it is recommended that the varied consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2029 for the manufacturing for the manufacturing of Steel ingots, Special Alloy Fine Ingots, Castings etc. @ 200 MTD for operation of 02 no. Induction Furnaces, 02 no. Annealing Furnaces using PNG as Fuel and LR/VD (either of one will operate at a time) with suitable conditions and following special conditions:
1. The industry shall obtain permission for abstraction of ground water from Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA) and shall submit the same within 01 month.
2. The industry shall obtain NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product or raw material or enhances its production capacity in future.
3. The industry shall not generate and discharge any kind of trade effluent and shall not start wet process in its premises without prior written permission of the Board.
4. The industry will operate & maintain its air pollution control device (APCD), regularly and efficiently, so as to achieve the stack emission standards, consistently as prescribed by the Board/ MoEF&CC as amended from time to time.
5. The industry shall comply with the SOPs framed by the PSCST, Chandigarh to operate APCD at all the time.
6. The industry shall be liable to obtain environmental clearance as required under the EIA notification dated 14/9/2006, in case it increases its production capacity.
7. The industry shall use good quality scrap with proper size as raw material at all the times.
8. The industry shall ensure that no black smoke should be emitted from the stack of the industry at any time.
