It is intimated that the industry is a small scale green category unit.
The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for the product Manufacturing of Copper Wire/Strip & Manufacturing of Aluminum Wire/Strip.
The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry is located in residential zone. As the industry is operating before the commencement of master plan 2007-31. And as per latest notification of the Govt., the industry if commenced before the master plan 2007-31, it is allowed to continue to operate in the area for the next three years. The industry had already obtained forever consent to operate in the year 1995 which is annexed alongwith the application form
The industry has deposited Rs. 12250/- vide UTR No. N165243093602201 dated 13.06.2024, Rs. 1400/- vide UTR No. N165243093664513 dated 13.06.2024 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 12250/- vide UTR No. N165243093673329 dated 13.06.2024 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.12.2030 against the fixed assets of Rs. 24.87/- Lacs.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents.
The site of industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 1.7.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in manufacturing of Copper Wire/Strip & Aluminum Wire/Strip..
2. The industry has installed machining equipment in its premises.
3. There is no generation of trade effluent from the process and domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has not installed D.G set/boiler/furnace in its premises.
5. The industry has falls in Shimplapuri which is a residential zone as per
6. The industry falls under green category.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2026 with usual conditions please.
