As decided by the Competent Authority, it is recommended that
1. Directions u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 earlier issued to the BKO due to non conversion into induced draft technology may be dropped as the BKO has already upgraded its kiln and also submitted completion certificate in this regard.
2. This office may be allowed to grant consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2027 for manufacturing of for manufacturing of Bricks @ 20,000 Nos./day (Induced / High Draft Zig Zag Technology) with suitable conditions and special condition that the brick kiln shall use replace its 20% fuel with paddy straw pellets in light of the decision to be taken by the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in writ petition bearing no. CWP 24772 of 2023. |
