• From the perusal of the note history, it has been observed as under:-……………..
1. The rice sheller has proposed expansion w.r.t. capacity from production raw rice/sorted rice with dryer @ 42 TPD to Raw rice/sorted rice with dryer @ 10 TPH and has also proposed expansion w.r.t. land area from 16 kanals to 56 kanals 14 marlas i.e. an addition of 40 kanals 14 marlas. As per the report of DTP issued vide no. 694 dated 05.06.2024, it has been intimated that the site falls within 500 meter of the scheduled road (Bathinda-Badal Road) and as such is not complying with the siting guidelines prescribed by the Board for rice sheller units. The project proponent has submitted a request wherein it has been intimated that the additional land area of 40 kanal 14 marlas will be used only for the purpose of storage of product and the proposed expansion w.r.t. production capacity from approx. 2 TPH to 10 TPH will be carried out in the existing machinery shed, which is complying the siting guidelines…………....
2. The project proponent has submitted in its request that M/s Waheguru Agro Industry, Moga was also granted NOC for expansion though the site was not meeting with the siting guidelines prescribed for rice sheller units. The note history of the application bearing no. 20842848 was perused and it was observed that the said rice sheller the proposed and addition in the land area from 12 kanal 09 marlas to 16 kanals with no expansion in production capacity. The site was located at a distance of 520 meter from the limits of Nagar Panchayat, Badhni Kalan, Moga instead of 1.5 km limit as per the siting criteria prescribed vide notification dated 15.10.2013, however the project proponent submitted an undertaking that the additional land area of 03 kanal 11 marals will be used purely for storage of raw material or product and will not be used for any industrial activity. NOC for expansion was granted to the said project after approval of the Hon'ble Chairman of the Board……………….
If approved, the application submitted by the applicant be returned to avoid generation of deemed certificate and the matter be forwarded to the Senior Law Officer of the Board through e-noting to decide such cases where expansion is proposed both w.r.t. land area as well as production capacity, however the site under expansion is not meeting with the siting guidelines prescribed by the Govt. dated 15.10.2013………………. |
