It is intimated that the project proponent has applied fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Faucets/Components @ 50000 No./year using Brass Castings @ 21000 Kg/year as raw material along with requisite documents.
The application of the industry under Air Act, 1981 is under verification of fee and same will be processed seperately after verification of the fee.
The project proponent has submitted CA certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 20.60 lakh as on 31.03.2024. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 4400/- vide R no. 717053465 dated 04.05.2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 4400/- vide R no. 796935515 dated under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 3000/- vide UTR no. 36442590731DC/0037 dated 29.05.2024 under Water Act, 1974. After deduction of NOC regularization fee, late fee, and adjustment of the consent fee under water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, the fees are adequate upto 30.09.2027.
The project proponent has submitted DIC letter vide no. 1680 dated 25.04.2024 as proof of date of commissioning and the date of production was mentioned 26.03.2024.
The project proponent has submitted allotment letter of plot no. E200, phase 8-B, Mohali in the name of Sh. Jaspinder Singh Chahal issued by PSIEC vide no. 12074 dated 18.09.2003 for manufacturing of Recon compn. Cummins Dis. Engine.
The project proponent has submitted rent deed made on 23.02.2024 between Mr. Jaspinder Singh Chahal and M/s Jal Faucets Pvt. Ltd.
The project proponent has submitted approved building plan signed by the authorized person under Factory Act, 1948.
The project proponent has submitted manufacturing process as under:
Core Making – Casting – Machining -- Pressure Testing -- Finish Grinding and Buffing – Electroplating – Assembly -- Packing & Dispatch.
The site was visited by the officer of the Board on 28.06.2024 and during visit it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in finishing of faucets with dry process only.
2. The industry has installed CNC machine, Cutter and berm machine
3. No boiler bhathi/furnace or wet process has been installed by the industry.
4. The site falls under an industrial area and is suitable for its establishment.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 is adequate till 31.12.2026 with suitable conditions and additional conditions as under:
1. The industry will stick to the production capacity mentioned in this consent and will not increase the same without prior written permission of the Board.
2. The industry shall not discharge wastewater in illegal manner at any time.
3. The industry shall not start any other new process within its unit which may change its category from Green to Orange/ Red, without the prior written permission of the Board.
4. The industry shall obtain permission from other concern departments, if need be.
