It is intimated that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH2/2022/19315273 dated 22.8.2022 expired on 30/06/2024 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH2/2022/19315253 dated 18/08/2022 expired on 30/06/2024 for manufacturing of B.B Axle @60000Nmber/Year, B.B Cup @95000Nmber/Year, B.B Ring @50000Nmber/Year, Agriculture Equipments @ 1530Nmber/Year, Machined Auto Parts @200000 Number/Year.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents for decrease in production capacity. The rest of the machinery and other aspects of the application form remains the same.
The site of industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 02.07.2024 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The industry has installed 3 no. water polluting section i.e. auto blacking, phosphating, zinc plating section.
3.The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana @ 50,000 Ltr./Month for its generation of trade effluent from process.
4. The details of water consume and water lifting as per table attached.
5. The industry has maintained the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana.
6. The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 10,000 Ltr. for its effluent & about 3000 Ltr. was stored in the storage tank.
7. As such, the water consumption and Effluent lifting was found in synchronization considering 10-15% evaporation losses.
8. The industry has installed 02 electrically operated shot blasting machine
attached with individual inbuilt bag house as APCD.
9. The industry has installed one F.O. fired auto black furnace and 02 electrically
operated powder coating booth attached with inbuilt cyclone as APCD.
10. The industry has installed 03 rotary furnaces, one annealing furnace, 02
tempering furnace, one induction heather furnace.These all electrically operated
and one LPG fired oven with adequate stack height.
11. The industry has installed 03 DG sets of capacities one of 180 KVA & 02 of 320 KVA which are provided with common acoustic room.
12. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
13. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions, please.
