To verify the contents of the complaint, the industry was visited by undersigned on 25/06/2024 and during the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry is an induction furnace unit and was in operation.
2. The industry has installed induction furnace of capacity 07 TPH along with rolling mill and the industry has installed ERW pipe plant after rolling mill to manufacturing ERW pipe @ 80 MTD. During visit, ERW pipe plant was not in operation.
3. The industry has installed spark arrestor followed by bag filter house as APCD along with side hood as per PSCST, which was in operation.
4. During visit, side hood was on crucible and more than 80% emission were suck by side hood suction and discharge after treatment through bag filter house. Photograph attached.
5. The industry has installed energy meter with APCD and its reading was 7399.58 during visit. The industry is maintaining the record of the same and copy of record from 01 April 2024 is enclosed herewith.
6. The industry has installed U-tube manometers with all the compartments of APCD and was found maintaining proper record of the same.
7. The industry has installed 02 no. of DG Set of capacities 125 and 250 KVA which are equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height.
8. No water will be used in the process, therefore there will be no generation of trade effluent. Whole of the cooling water is re-circulated.
9. Domestic effluent being generated by the industry is discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
The industry is falls under the Industrial Zone as per Master Plan of Mandi Gobindgarh.
Keeping in view of above, it is not truth of complainant that the industry is not operating its APCD as the industry has installed energy meter and maintained the record sufficient for its evidence. During visit, suction system was being worked very well, please.
