It is intimated that the project proponent has applied for obtaining ‘Consent to Establish’ (NOC) from pollution angle for the establishment of cold store in the revenue estate of Village Chimna, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana in an area of 14 Kanals 4 Marlas (1.775 Acres), bearing khasra no. 8//22 (7-11), 8//21/2 (6-11), 9//25/2 (0-2) Village Chimna, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana for storage of Fruits & Vegetables etc. @ 5670 MT/year.
The details are as under:-
1. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 11,300/- vide UTR No. 475896702 dated 09.05.2024 as NOC fee for the project cost of Rs. 587.58 lacs, which is adequate for one year under Green category.
2. The project proponent has submitted project report regarding establishment cold store for storage of Potato, Fruits & Vegetables etc. @ 5670 MT/year. As per project report, cost of project is 587.58 lacs.
3. The project proponent has obtained permission for change of land use for “Cold Store” for an area of 14 Kanals 4 Marlas (1.775 Acres), bearing khasra no. 8//22 (7-11), 8//21/2 (6-11), 9//25/2 (0-2) Village Chimna, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana from Senior Town Planner, Ludhiana vide his memo no. 1971/STP(L)/BA-IND-1 dated 17.11.2022.
4. As per application of the project proponent, there will not be any source of air pollution from the storage process and also there will not be any generation of trade effluent. Only domestic effluent will be generated from the premises, for treatment of which the project proponent has proposed to construct septic tank and the treated effluent will be discharged onto land for plantation.
Keeping in view the above, it is recommended that the ‘Consent to Establish’/ NOC may be granted to the project proponent (Green category) for the establishment of cold store for storage of Fruits & Vegetables etc. @ 5670 MT/year, subject to the suitable conditions alongwith following special conditions:
1. The project proponent will establish cold store in 14 Kanals 4 Marlas (1.775 Acres), bearing khasra no. 8//22 (7-11), 8//21/2 (6-11), 9//25/2 (0-2) Village Chimna, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana for which it has obtained CLU from the STP, Ludhiana.
2. The project proponent will comply with all the conditions imposed by the Senior Town Planner, Ludhiana vide his memo no. 1971/STP(L)/BA-IND-1 dated 17.11.2022.
3. The project proponent will comply with all the conditions of Master Plan Jagraon (2010-2031).
