Earlier, varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were granted to the industry vide online reference no. CTOW/Varied/GRP/2019/10366902 & CTOA/Varied/GRP/2019/10367077 dated 08/07/2019 which were Valid upto 30/09/2024.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS in a totally paperless manner by uploading necessary documents as PDF.
The industry has deposited Rs. Rs. 210500/- vide online reference No. 19067834 dated 20/06/2024 under Water Act, 1974 including Rs. 500/- as application form fee and Rs. 231600/- vide online reference No. 850402236 dated 20/06/2024 under Air Act, 1981 including Rs. 21600/- as NOC Regularization fee same are adequate for the period upto 30/06/2029 under both Acts.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 25/06/2024 and observed as under:-
1. The industry has installed 3 nos. induction furnaces of capacity 0.75 TPH, 1.0 TPH & 1.5 TPH.
2. The industry has installed M.S. Hood followed by bag filter house as APCD with all the 03 induction furnaces, separately.
3. The industry has installed 2 set of shot blasting machines with bag filter house as APCD with each machine.
4. The industry has installed new CNC machines for machining purpose which are not increase any air pollution load.
5. The industry has installed 2 no. D.G. sets of capacity 500 KVA & 125 KVA, which are provided with canopy.
6. The industry has provided stacks of adequate height with provision to facilitate emission sampling with each APCD bag filter house.
7. The industry has installed septic tank for treatment of its domestic effluent with provision to discharge the treated effluent in MC sewer.
8. As such site of the industry falls in designated industrial zone of notified Master Plan of Batala Town, hence site of the industry is suitable for regularization of expansion made by without
NOC of the Board.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for a period upto 30/09/2029 with suitable conditions along with the special condition that the industry shall get its emission sample analyzed from the Board’s
Lab/Board’s approved Lab within one month and submit analysis report to the Board.
