It is submitted that the industry was granted Consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide nos. CTOW/Fresh/BTI/2023/21526331 & CTOA/Fresh/BTI/2023/21525282 dt. 26.06.2023, which is valid upto 30.06.2027 for production of Raw Rice/Sorted Rice @ 2 TPH with dryer, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. • The industry was granted Consent to Establish (NOC) for expansion under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide nos. CTE/Exp/BTI/2023/23096118 dt. 18.08.2023 for production of Raw Rice / Sorted Rice with dryer @ 3 TPH, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. • Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consents to operate of the Board under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for production of Raw Rice / Sorted Rice with dryer @ 3 TPH. • The details of case are as under – • The industry has already deposited consent fee which is adequate upto 30.06.2027. • The site of the industry was visited on 28.06..2024 and it was observed as under: 1. The rice sheller was not in operation due to off season. 2. The industry has installed additional machinery for increased production of rice, at site. 3. The industry has installed cyclones as APCDs with pre-cleaner section and shelling section and the same were found in operationable condition. 4. The industry has provided stack of adequate height with paddy cleaner and shelling section with adequate sample collection facilities. 5. The industry has provided wall of adequate length with height of 10 feet around husk storage area and 5 feet Jali have been provided over the said wall. 6. The industry has provided paved road for the control of the vehicular dust pollution. 7. The industry has provided the septic tank for treatment of domestic effluent of office building with provision of discharge of effluent onto land for plantation. 8. The industry has provided fresh plantation along the boundary wall of the industry.
9. The industry has provided boundary wall on the added land area however has not done any construction in the added land area and the same is used extra storage pf paddy only
• As such, the site of the industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as code of practice prescribed by the Govt. vide order dt. 15.10.2013. • Keeping in view of above, if approved, it is recommended that varied consents to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for a period upto 30.06.2027 for production of Raw Rice / Sorted Rice with dryer @ 3 TPH subject to the suitable conditions |
