File Note: The note of Regional Office may kindly be perused. The industry is a medium scale (Plant and Machinery- 5.23 cr) red category dyeing unit and was granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2020/13001310 dated 07.08.2020 for dyeing of cloth @ 2000 Kgs/day, Printing of Cloth @ 1000 Kgs/day, Finishing of Cloth @ 2000 Kgs/day and Raising of Cloth @ 2000 Kgs/day, which was valid upto 30.06.2024…… Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for dyeing and finishing of polyester fabric @ 22.125 T/day or dyeing and finishing of cotton/polyester-cotton fabric @ 8.85 T/day…….. The industry has deposited adequate fee upto 30.06.2029 and requisite documents as verified by the RO…….. Regional Office has reported that the industry has submitted the copy of letter issued by DTP, Ludhiana vide memo no. 1387/DTP(L)/M2A dated 25.04.2011 stating that the site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-2021) …….. The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 26.06.2024 and it has been reported as under: • The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 8 TPH and one themopak of capacity 1500000 Kcal/Hour with separate multi cyclones as APCD and having common stack of adequate height. Industry is using rice husk as fuel. • Earlier, air emission sample of the industry was collected on 14.12.2023 from porthole of stack after APCD of boiler installed by the industry. As per the report received from the lab, the concentration of SPM was found 74 mg/Nm3 against the prescribed limit of 500 mg/Nm3. The result was within the limits prescribed by the Board. • The industry has installed one DG sets of capacity 380 KVA with canopy and adequate height. RO has reported that the industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and conditions of the previously granted consents…. It is pertinent to mention here that it was decided as under in the e-noting no. 19582356 (copy attached herewith): “It shall be ensured that no further CTE/CTO for any new/expansion of dyeing units shall be given without the permission from Head office.” As proposed by Regional Office, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2029 for dyeing and finishing of polyester fabric @ 22.125 T/day or dyeing and finishing of cotton/polyester-cotton fabric @ 8.85 T/day……… Competency: CEE- As per policy of the Board… Worthy Chairman- as per decision taken in e noting 19582356
