It is submitted that the industry is small scale red category unit and is engaged in process of Zinc plating process.
The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for manufacturing of HARD WARE GEAR, THREAD ROD, LBOLT, CLA MPS @ 8 MTD by using WIRE AND ROUND SHEET @ 12 TPD.
The industry has deposited consent fee of amounting to Rs. 27000/- vide R. no. SBIN324176483229 dated 24.06.2024 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 27000/- vide R.no. SBIN324176485801 dated 24.06.2024 under the Air Act, 1981 and Rs.5400/- vide R.no. 824305182 dated 03.04.2024 as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate upto 31.01.2027.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 02.07.2024 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The industry is engaged in process of Zinc plating process and has also installed power press machines, wire drawing machine, wire cutting and threading machines.
3. The industry has made an agreement with the M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana for lifting of trade effluent @ 8000 ltr/month dated 01.04.2024. The industry has constructed a underground storage tank of 10000 Ltr capacity.
4. The industry has provided water meter in the process area and reading noted was 0.33 KL. The industry has done carry out the trail run of the zinc plating process and entire effluent generated was lying stored in storage tank. The industry has done the booking for the lifting of trade effluent to the CETP operator as informed during the visit. No bypass has been observed during the visit.
5. The industry has started maintaining the record of total water consumption viz a viz effluent lifted.
6. The domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
7. The industry has installed 01 no. D.G. set of capacity 100 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
8. The industry has submitted electric connection as proof of date of commissioning i.e. 31.01.2023.
9. The industry has submitted approved building plan from the Competent Person of the Director of Factories
10. The industry has submitted DTP certificate vide no. 329 dated 09.02.2023 approved by District Town Planner, Ludhiana and as per DTP certificate the site located in industrial zone as per approved Master Plan of Ludhiana.
The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.06.2026 with suitable conditions as per policy of Board.
