File Note: It is intimated that earlier Consent to Operate Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the hospital vide online reference no. CTOW/Renewal/PKT/2023/22003540 & CTOA/Renewal/PKT/2023/22003486 dtd 29/05/2023, which were valid upto 30/06/2024 & 30/06/2028 for 100 beds. Now, the hospital has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS for 100 beds along with Eye Hospital. The Hospital has deposited already Rs. 45,500/- UTR No. SBIN423129246239 dated 09/05/2023 & now deposited Rs. 10,500/- vide UTR No. 290255968 dated 24/06/2024 & Rs. 45,000/- UTR No. SBIN423129250292 dated 09/05/2023 & Rs. 20,000/- vide UTR No. 379579832 dated 24/06/2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 10,000/- vide UTR No. 379579832 dated 24/06/2024 & Rs. 500/- Form Downloading Fee, which is adequate upto 30/09/2029. The HCF has submitted requisite documents along with the application which can be pursued. The HCF comprises of 100 beds and has capacity to generate effluent @ 39.5 KLD. The Hospital was visited by the undersigned on 04/07/2024 and observed as under:- 1. The hospital comprising of 100 beds engaged in the process of providing medical services. 2. The hospital has installed treatment plant for treatment of its effluent generated from hospital premises. 3. The HCF has provided color coded bins for collection/segregation of Bio Medical Waste, segregation of BMW found proper as per color codes. 4. The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles. 5. The HCF is maintaining the record of Bio Medical Waste lifted to CBWTF. 6. The hospital has installed ETP cum STP for treatment of liquid waste and after treatment same is discharge onto land for plantation/irrigation. 7. The HCF has provided STP, which was in operation. 8. The hospital has installed a D.G. Set of capacity 200 KVA, which is provided with canopy and stack of adequate height above roof level. The HCF has submitted the fresh feasibility report of the STP cum ETP w.r.t adequacy and as per the feasibility report, the capacity of the ETP is 40 KLD, which is adequate. It is pertinent to mention here that the authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 was extended upto 30/06/2028 vide online reference no. BMW/Fresh/PKT/2023/22023124 dated 24/05/2023 through OCMMS (Agenda Note is also attached herewith). In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2029 with suitable conditions.
