Discussed........ the industry had earlier installed one no. induction furnace of capacity 8 TPH earlier. The industry has expanded the IF capacity to 10 TPH and has submitted completion cum adequacy certificate of the upgraded side hood type APCD from Eros Enviro care. The industry is located in designated industrial zone as such the expansion made by it could be regularized. However, the industry is also required to produce completion certificate from PSCST as well for the upgraded APCD.
In view of above, it is recommended that :-
1. CTO under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for short term of one year with following special conditions :-
ii) The industry shall submit completion cum adequacy ceritifcate of the APCD installed on the induction furnace from PSCST within 2 months.
ii) The industry shall be bound to upgrade/ modify the APCD design in accordance with the guidelines made by PSCST in future, if any.
