Kindly peruse the agenda note of AEE. In view of facts mentioned by AEE in his agenda note, it is recommended that the renewal consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30/06/2027 with suitable conditions and special conditions as under:
1. The industry shall comply with the conditions of the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA).
2. The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.
3. The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plasticthermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
4. The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
5. The industry shall comply with the SOPs framed for such type of units.
