As reported by Regional Office the industry intends to install an induction furnace of capacity 1.5 TPH in the existing premises, which falls in the ambient of Schedule-I Factories Act, 1948. As per the Master Plan of Mandi Gobindgarh uploaded on the website of PUDA, the site of the industry falls in the Industrial Zone and as such, the industry does not require clearance under the Schedule-I Factories Act, 1948. The industry has also submitted an undertaking as per the Policy of the Board dated 30/04/2013 to the effect that the site of the industry falls in the Industrial Zone. In view of the facts mentioned by the Regional Office may if approved, the Consent to Establish (NOC Expansion) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto one year with suitable conditions and special conditions as under: 1. The industry shall submit the completion certificate of APCD from PSCST, Chandigarh. At the time of obtaining varied consents under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,1981 2. The unit shall obtain revised NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product/capacity of the plant. 3. The unit shall not engage in any water polluting process i.e. electroplating/pickling /galvanizing etc. 4. The project proponent shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies. 5. Regional Office Fatehgarh Sahib shall send the copy of the NOC (Expansion) alongwith undertaking to the District Town Planner, Fatehgarh Sahib with the request to intimate the applicant (project proponent) under intimation to the Punjab Pollution Control Board within 15 days, if the said authority has any objection to the location of the project at proposed site. 6. in case of any objection is raised to the location of the project by the District Town Planner, Fatehgarh Sahib or if any of the undertakings or documents are found wrong, the NOC granted to the project would be deemed to have been cancelled and the Board would not be responsible for the cost incurred by the project proponent on the basis of the said NOC.
