It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to establish (NOC) of the Board vide no. CTE/Fresh/PTA/2022/19697443 dated 13/09/2022, valid upto 12/09/2023 for manufacturing of Aluminium ingots @ 600 MT/Year by using Aluminum scrap @ 600 MT/Year as raw material and discharge of domestic effluent @ 0.5 KLD into PSIEC Sewer, under orange category subject to conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Aluminium ingots @ 600 MT/Year by using Aluminum scrap @ 600 MT/Year as raw material and discharge of domestic effluent @ 0.5 KLD into PSIEC Sewer, under orange category along with requisite documents.
The industry has deposited online Rs. 7000/- vide online receipt no. YESB31944625116 dated 13.07.2023 & Rs. 16800/- vide UTR No. BKIDY24185973294 dated 03.07.2024 on account of consent fee under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 7500/- vide online receipt no. YESB31944625343 dated 13.07.2023 & Rs. 16800/- vide UTR no. BKIDY24185973069 dated 03.07.2024 on account of consent fee under the Air Act, 1981 against the fixed assets of Rs. 62.70 lakh as on 31.03.2024 submitted by the industry, which is adequate upto 31.03.2029
The industry has submitted a approved building plan for Er. Sukhjiner Singh, Approved Competent Person from Director of Factories, Punjab on 08.07.2023.
The industry has submitted compliance report of Consent to Establish (NOC) conditions earlier granted to it along with proof of commissioning of its unit during the month of August, 2023.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 10.07.2024. During visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. annealing furnace, which is attached with bag filter house from PCST, Chandigarh.
3. The industry has submit a completion certificate from PSCST, Chandigarh on 18.06.2024 for installation of annealing furnace of capacity 200 kg/heat
4. No trade effluent is generated from the process.
5. Domestic effluent is being discharged into PSIEC Sewer
6. The industry has installed any D.G. set.
Keeping in view of the above mentioned facts, may if approved, recommendations be sent to SEE, ZO-1, Patiala that fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention &Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 31.03.2029 for manufacturing of Aluminium ingots @ 600 MT/Year by using Aluminum scrap @ 600 MT/Year as raw material with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
