The industry was granted consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/MKS/2021/17324132 & CTOA/Renewal/MKS/2021/17324123 dated 15.11.2021, both are valid upto 30.09.2025 for operation of rice sheller unit of capacity Raw Rice/sorted rice @ 2 TPH with dryer, subject to the conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for operation of rice sheller unit to produce Raw rice / sorted rice @ 4 TPH with dryers with increasing production capacity under orange category. The details of the case is as under: -
The industry has deposited consent fee under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 with previous consent is adequate upto 30.09.2025. Further, the industry has deposited Rs. 10800/- vide UTR No. N166243095605210 dated 14.06.2024 as NOC regularization fees for increased fix assets as per the Board's office order dated 29.10.2018 against fixed assets of Rs. 347.04 lacs as per the CA certificate dated 11.05.2024.
The industry was visited by undersigned (AEE) on 12.07.2024 and observed as under –
1) The industry was not in operation during visit. The industry has installed the machinery for the production of sorted raw rice with 2 dryers.
2) The industry has installed venturi as APCD with paddy cleaner of the dryer section and shelling section.
3) The industry has provided stack of adequate height with the APCD and provisions to facilitate air emission sampling.
4) No trade effluent is generated from the process and the domestic effluent generated is discharged onto land for plantation after treatment through septic tank.
5) The industry has provided brick wall of adequate length with 8' height around husk discharge/ storage area and further wind screen was lying dismantled. The industry has informed that they will provide wind screen of adequate height within one month.
6) The industry has provided fresh plantation along its boundary wall.
7) The industry has provided septic tank for treatment of domestic effluent.
8) The site of the industry is located outside the nearby MC limit.
The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as code of practice prescribed by the Govt. vide order dt. 15.10.2013.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate may be granted for a period upto 30.09.2025 please
